Gavin has been involved in the open government / open data community since around 2009 when he first got involved with open data via the first govhack event. For the last few years, he has been a member of the Govhack National Organising Team.

He currently works for Acquia, delivering Drupal projects for (mostly) government clients. He has been closely involved with the govCMS project for the last two years. govCMS is a great example of government making use of open source software, and driving a change across across a large organisation; moving toward greater collaboration and sharing of effort.
