Darren spent years as a food scientist, holed up in a lab developing food product formulations before transitioning into technical communication. For the past 8 years, he has been technical writing in various industries including media, financial services, mining, and technology.

Currently, Darren is an Information Architect for Rackspace, working from home in Melbourne on OpenStack technical documentation. He likes things to be in order and easy to find, so naturally has an interest in information architecture and user experience.

Darren also loves anything that involves 3D printing, photography, coffee, and bacon.
